Building information modeling is a virtual model, representing the real building and its components. Building information modeling has a wide variety of use, from conceptual, designing, construction, operational, maintenance, and demolition phase. The course aims to provide basic knowledge of using Building Information Modeling for architecture from conceptual to pre-designing phase. The students learn to understand the parametric design between real and virtual model. Then, they learn about the information provided by software. Student submit digital model as well as present a poster to demonstrate their ability of using building information modeling by the end of the course.
