IUPiCs - Human and Cultural Communications

This course is one of the basic courses in the study program. This course aims to equip students with basic understanding of human communication. As a social and psychological beings, humans have their communication skill. Communication as a basic skill of human life are non the less intertwined with elements coming of from psychology, sosiology and culure. 

Human Communication course will discuss communication as a process, its function on various levels of relation, human capability in responding and creating message, and the capability of adapting.


The main goals of the course are:

  • Knowing and understanding the basic value of communication.

  • Understanding principles on human communication, such as  process, function, response and creating message, and adaptation.

  • Acknowleding the role of identity and psychology in human interactions and communications.

  • Capable to practice basic function of communication on interpersonal relations, group, organization, and media
