DESKRIPSI BLOK PRINSIP KEHIDUPAN, KOMUNIKASI, DAN FUNGSI SOSIAL

Blok Prinsip Kehidupan, Komunikasi, dan Fungsi Sosial adalah blok kedua yang diberikan pada mahasiswa tahun pertama. Pembelajaran di blok Prinsip Kehidupan, Komunikasi, dan Fungsi Sosial ini merupakan kelanjutan dari blok Being Nursing Student, dan mahasiswa akan mempelajari tiga topik besar yaitu: ’Prinsip kehidupan, komunikasi dan fungsi sosial.

Blok ini dinamakan dengan Blok “Life principle, communication and social function” atau ‘’Prinsip kehidupan, komunikasi dan fungsi sosial”. Pada kurikulum sebelum 2019, blok ini dinamakan dengan blok “Nilai-nilai dan kepercayaan-kepercayaan”. Blok ini akan berisi pelajaran yang disusun dengan berbagai bentuk pembelajaran antara lain kuliah, flipped classroom, diskusi/turorial, penugasan, pembelajaran mandiri, seminar, role play, project based, dan penggunaan blended learning dengan menggunakan e-learning. Selain itu, salah satu capaian yang merupakan capaian kompetensi baru adalah mahasiswa mampu mengaplikasikan strategi penelusuran untuk mengidentifikasi/menemukan isu-isu keperawatan. Topik ini merupakan topic Evidence Based Practice yang dirancang untuk diberikan berjenjang sesuai level dari blok Prinsip kehidupan, komunikasi dan fungsi sosial sampai dengan blok Keperawatan Bencana dan bahkan sampai tahap profesi. Proses pembelajaran ini dilakukan secara online/daring dan offline/luring.    

Matakuliah Hubungan Industrial (SPE3530) merupakan mata kuliah pilihan lintas departemen untuk mahasiswa S1 di FISIPOL UGM. Mata kuliah ini mendiskusikan perdebatan-perdebatan mengenai hubungan antara pekerja, organisasi buruh, pemilik perusahaan, dan negara dalam proses produksi, baik pada konteks nasional maupun pada konteks global. Diskusi mengenai hubungan industrial diarahkan untuk melihat bagaimana perspektif yang berbeda-beda merespon tantangan-tantangan yang ada dalam upaya meningkatkan penghidupan yang baik (well-being) pekerja.

Course Description

This course is intended to serve as an introduction to the major issues of public health with a focus on the Less Middle-Income Countries (LIMICS), although global health issues are considered as well. The course will examine what those issues are, what determines them, and how they can be altered. The course provides a broad overview for students wishing no more than an introduction to the field, as well as good grounding for students who wish to pursue additional coursework in public health. Many issues are related to infectious diseases since most students are coming from countries which are facing with the infectious diseases. Course covers also issues on chronic disease, reproductive health, environment and occupational health, unintended injuries and violence, Covid-19 pandemic, and future trends of infectious diseases. Most topics are covered in the required readings, which all students should read before the class. Additional materials from lectures, will be posted on web-class (Elok). This lecture will be given by many lecturers so that they might give you additional reading. However, the mid-term and final examination will entirely come from these reading materials.

Part 2: Course Objectives

The specific course objectives are expressed within the following competencies, where after student finished with this class, they will be able to:

1. explain what public health is, what distinguishes it from the other health sciences, and what unique contributions it has to make to the health of the public,
2. identify the principal determinants of health and disease, as well as the principal determinants of, and explanations for, inequalities in the health of groups differentiated by geographic region, residence, and socioeconomic status.
3. describe when (and why) governments should intervene in matters pertaining to the health of the public and when (and why) they should not.
4. describe the basic approaches and purposes of the major analytical methods of public health, especially epidemiology for examining distribution, trends, and cause of infectious diseases,
5. explain the biomedical basis of major infectious diseases, including malaria and tuberculosis,
6. identify the principal social and behavioral determinants of health and demonstrate how they influence the most important behavior-related health problems,
7. identify the principal environmental determinants of health and describe the major environmental and occupational health issues,
8. describe the reproductive health issues that confront mothers and children in the LIMICs,
9. inspect critical issues in global health, human-right and ethical aspects, with a special focus on the health of vulnerable population, and
10. describe important future issues in public health, including pandemic Covid-19; and explain their trend and origin.

Course Structure

This course will be delivered in lectures and discussion using online and hybrid approach (when it is possible). The session will be given twice weekly or depending to our department’s schedule.

Enrolment

This course is open to a limited number of individuals outside of the MPH's programs. Preference is given to UGM affiliated students, including doctorate students. Lecture Topics

Lecture materials and chapters from the required reading will posted in the class web (eLok.ugm.ac.id). Class will be given at least twice a week. Each session is about 100 minutes. There will be 14 sessions of lectures during this class.

Magang Pengelolaan Sumberdaya Perikanan merupakan kegiatan pembelajaran di luar kampus yang waji bdiikuti oleh seluruh mahasiswa Departemen Perikanan mulai angkatan 2019. Mata kuliah ini setara dengan kegiatan praktikum 1 SKS. Pada saat perancangan kurikulum Departemen Perikanan, kegiatan ini didesain agar mahasiswa melaksanakan kegiatan lapangan di lokasi terpilih selama 1 minggu, tetapi karena masih dalam kondisi pandemi Covid-19, maka kegiatan dilaksanakan secara daring dengan mengundang beberapa narasumber dan pendalaman materi dengan dosen pembimbing. 

Mata Kuliah ini adalah kelanjutan dari Mata Kuliah  Administrasi Publik Klasik. Jika Administrasi Publik Klasik menekankan pada paradigma awal perkembangan Administrasi Negara yang lebih banyak berbasis internal dan legal formal. Mata kuliah Administrasi Publik Kontemporer memberikan perhatian pada paradigma baru yang mengkritisi paradigma lama yang tidak lagi bisa diterapkan pada organisasi publik yang kompleks.

Beberapa isu governance, public-privat relationship, dst menjadi fokus perhatian.  Mata kuliah ini akan mendiskripsikan beragam pendekatan administrasi publik dalam menjawab isu kontemporer seperti sosial-politik, lingkungan, gender, hak asasi manusia, teknologi atau digitalisasi era, Mata kuliah ini jua mendorong pembelajaran pada organisasi  publik yang lebih adaptif di masa perubahan,  seperti:  krisis ekonomi, perubahan politik, globalisasi, menguatnya civil society, media sosial, dll  membutuhkan pemahaman dari perspektif kontemporer,

Agribusiness Management is the application of economic theories both micro and macro and entrepreneurial in the practice of managing agricultural businesses, in this case, is devoted to businesses related to the livestock industry. The scope of the livestock business includes the procurement of production factors as well as decision-making on the production process, management, and marketing of livestock products and services. Thus, the discussion in this lecture includes business management starting from the procurement of raw materials, cultivation of poultry livestock, ruminants, various livestock, and pets, processed livestock waste, post-harvest and processing, and the process of marketing products to consumers. To support activities in agribusiness, institutional support is needed as a supporting potential in terms of human resources. Management and institutions are one unit where institutions are organizational structures and management governance that have laws and rules in an agribusiness activity. In addition, institutions include business institutions that can support livestock businesses both as a source of information, communication media, and capital or financing in order to strengthen and sustain the group. Lecture activities are also equipped with practicums at agribusiness companies and or livestock groups that are relevant to study aspects of production planning, marketing, cooperation in industry, and human resources.
