This course has been designed for the students to be able to explain characteristics of wood extractives related to wood and its processing properties. This course provide an introduction to wood extractives, effect of wood extractives to : wood physical properties, bioactivities, chemotaxonomy, drying, gluing, corrosion, finishing, and pulp-paper processing.
