This course emphasizes on self-awareness and individual reflection significance to accomplish deep understanding of “individual” in multicultural contexts such as gender, class, culture, race/ ethnicity, religion, privilege and power. In cross-cultural communication studies, it is vital to critically look into individual cultural values and perception that can influence on individual perspectives and interaction with others from different communities. This course will explore cross-cultural understanding outside Indonesia and contextualizes it with Indonesian situations.
