English 1 is a course designed to drill students’ skills in understanding and comprehending rules in English so that
the students can apply those rules in communication: writing, reading, speaking, and listening not only in a daily and social environment but also in the working environment. All the materials are designed based on the skills of English
in the context of economics. Students will also be introduced to TOEIC and TEVocS (Test of English for Vocational Students), a test similar to TOEIC, but specifically designed for students of Vocational College UGM.
