Tour Guiding
This course stipulates the students to learn
guiding skills. It also directs those who have interests in joining tour
operation or to perform independent guiding work. However, the communication
skills as well as the people-to-people engagement has the utmost focus of
attention in this class. Tour guiding course has three central aims. The first
aim is to prepare the students for professional management employment
in rapidly emerging travel and tourism industry. Second, the course also
develops writing and speaking skills in English to enable students to do
well-informed research. The final goal is to create an awareness of the
importance of tourism as well as career prospects for the overall development
of the country. Students will work on papers and do group presentations. Not
only from textual references, students are encouraged to obtain information as valuable
sources from the field. Thus,
an independent learning is strongly required.
