Meeting, Incentive, Convention & Exhibition (MICE) Management
This course provides the students an overview of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) sector in the tourism industry. Also, the students will comprehend the managerial and operational aspects pertaining to the MICE Industry. The objective of this course is to obtain an in-depth knowledge about the specialized field of “MICE Industry” and to become familiar with the management strategies and techniques required for the successful planning, promotion, and special event’s implementation and evaluation in MICE context.
This course has three central aims. The first aim is to prepare the students for professional management employment in rapidly emerging travel and tourism industry. Second, the course also develops writing and speaking skills in English to enable students to do well-informed research. The final goal is to create an awareness of the importance of tourism as well as career prospects for the overall development of the country. Students will work on papers, do group works, and practical works of operating MICE events. Not only from textual references, students are encouraged to obtain information as valuable sources from the field. Thus, an independent learning is strongly required.
