Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is one of the emergencies typically occur in hospital. It is a situation that needs immediate action to prevent further damage to the heart that will lead to death. Based on Standar Kompetensi Dokter Indonesia (SKDI), medical doctor should be able to diagnose and treat the patient with ACS before referring them to the facility with adequate facility and human resources to manage ACS (competence level 3B). Beta-blocker is one of the medications that can be used to manage ACS.
