Basics of Public Administration
Welcome to the class of Basics of Public Administration (previously was Classics of Public Administration). While the term classic could be understood as something ancient or something in the first or highest quality or excellence, the term basics means something essential or introductory.
So, if the last class focused on elaborating the milestones of the history of public administration theory from the prehistory and classical period up to the modern or contemporary era, in this class the focus is on introducing the meaning, the scope, and the significance of public administration as a filed of study. The class will elaborate four points: (1) The meaning of the term of “public administration”. where the term came from, and what is the context of the study of public administration; (2) The nature of science, whether it is a branch of science, a field of study, or a profession; (3) The scope and the significant of public administration as a field of study; and (4) The basic concepts and theories of public administration.Teacher: Muhadjir Muhammad Darwin, Ambar Widaningrum
