This course discusses the history and importance of plant diseases, the concept of plant diseases and their development, types of disease-causing (plant pathogens), plant interactions with plant pathogens at the cellular, tissue, and plant population level. The effects of environmental factors on plant diseases are discussed in order to understand their development. Diagnosis, ways of managing plant diseases as well as examples of plant diseases that have important significance in Indonesia, and careers in phytopathology.
