Qualitative research is an intellectual journey that allows for academic surprises and exciting scientific exploration. It challenges our creativities since the planning of the research, right down to the data collection in the field, and finally, the writing. This unit prepares you for qualitative research activities. We want to introduce you to qualitative research by showing you samples of this research. However, we also want you to learn qualitative research by doing it, albeit on a smaller scale in the classroom. Every week students are encouraged to participate and contribute actively in class discussions and activities. Students are encouraged to bring their laptops, tabs, or other gadgets to the classroom, in order to do the research practice and exercises assigned to them.
