Bioinformatika - Computer Science
The very rapid increase in the amount of biological data currently means that manual data analysis is no longer efficient. Computing is needed to
help data analysis so that it can extract important information from large sets of genetic data. This area between computational science and
biology is called bioinformatics. Computer Science is needed to process this large amount of genetic data. Students are able to understand the
concept of molecular biology, understand the techniques used in bioinformatics, use biological databases, develop bioinformatics tools and write
bioinformatics research results in the form of scientific papers. The material discussed includes biomolecular concepts, sequence matching
algorithms, pairwise & multiple sequences, protein structure prediction, genome informatics.
