This course discusses the introduction of biomaterials, especially from science and engineering point of view for the biomedical application. 

We will covers the basic of materials, its properties and characterisations as well as its classification in the first 6 meetings before the mid terms, and then continued by basic biological principles and biomaterials applications. It includes the tissue engineering, drug delivery system and specific topic discussion. 

This course should provide the student with a concise but comprehensive introduction of biomaterials, laying a groundwork for more advanced topics.
