Chemical Industrial Processes (Proses Industri Kimia)
The Chemical Industrial Processes is designed to provide students with knowledge in studying inorganic natural resources and their utilization, including the application of thermodynamic principles and rate processes (reaction kinetics) in their processing, analyzing production process units, determining types of equipment in the production process, drawingg symbols production process equipment, drawing flow diagrams of production processes and being able to analyze the influence of operating conditions on reaction rates and chemical equilibrium, as well as applying them to organic and inorganic chemical processes.
Lecture material consists of Fundamentals of chemical process design, Production process units: raw material preparation unit, synthesis unit, and finishing, Process equipment symbols and Process Flow Diagrams, Fundamentals of separation and mixing processes, chemical process control from aspects of chemical reaction rates, equilibrium chemical reactions, heat of chemical reactions, and activation energy, and Case studies consisting of sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, NaOH, Ammonia, Urea, TSP/SP 36, Nitration, Amination, Halogenation and Sulfonation reactions. Also an example of the introduction of technological developments in the fertilizer industry.
