Monetary Economics 2

Course Description

This course covers the concept and theory of the supply and demand, equilibrium of money market and credit, the neutrality of money, interest rate theory as well as monetary policy theory in both empirical study and theory.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course students are expected to be able to:

1. Understand the microeconomic concept/theory of money demand.

2. Understand the concept/theory of monetary policy (macroeconomics perspective) with micro-foundation.
