English 1 is a course designed to drill students’ skills in understanding and comprehending rules in English so that the students can apply those rules in communication: writing, reading, speaking, and listening not only in daily and social environments but also in the working environment. Students will read and do assignments related to English for Software Engineering and Information Technology. Students will also be introduced to TOEIC and TEVocS (Test of English for Vocational Students), a test similar to TOEIC, but specifically designed for students of Vocational College UGM.
