CALCULUS III (MMA2101) - FMIPA UGM 2023

Content of Calculus III:

  1. Sequences and series.
  2. Functions of two real variables, functions of three or more real variables.
  3. Double integrals and their applications.

After completing this course, students are required to have the ability:

CO1

to investigate the divergence or convergence of real number sequences and series, and to know their applications.

CO2

to generalize the fundamental concepts of multivariable calculus on limits, continuity, partial derivatives, differentiable functions, and differentials, to solve problems on limits and derivatives of multivariable functions, and to determine the Taylor series and Mac-Laurin series of multivariable (two variables) functions.

CO3

to apply the concepts of multivariable calculus effectively to solve problems related to optimization problems.

CO4

to generalize the fundamental concepts of multivariable calculus on double integrals and to solve problems on double integrals.

CO5

to apply the concepts of multivariable calculus effectively and to solve problems in mathematics and science such as the volume of a solid, moments and centers of mass, a moment of inertia, probability, and expected values.
