Digital Governance is mandatory course in for student in International Undergraduate Program, Department Public Policy and Management. Digital governance has become an important issue for public administration since the arrival of personal computer and internet in the 1980s and 1990s. The internet provides a new digital opportunity for democracy in public administration. The internet also has launched more or less utopian visions of the future in the field of politics and public policy and at the same time it led to an increased interest in the role of the internet in democratic governance. However, there are wide variations in adopting and implementing practices of digital democracy among government agencies. Therefore, this course will discuss topics on digital democracy, stages, the relation with public administration reforms, digital divide, introduction of e-government and Digital Era Governance.

Apart from theoretical discussions, students in this course will be able to learn how to develop a digital product concept using user interface design theories, patterns, and tools, in the last seven meetings of this course.
